Joshua Reese, Owner

Joshua Reese, owner and coach, is a true Davis native. He graduated from Davis Senior High in 2007 and went on to play D-1 collegiate football from 2007 to 2012 while receiving his B.S. at the University of California, Davis, in 2011. A leader and team player, Josh captained the UCD Football team from 2011 to 2012. Josh began training in 2012 and developed a strong passion for helping others through physical fitness. He opened doors to Performance 22 in December of 2013, creating and leading group cross-training and weight lifting classes. Josh’s classes will push both your physical and mental limits, but through his energetic, charismatic coaching, he will have you believing you are capable of anything in no time!

As a former D-1 athlete, Josh has a strong passion for coaching student athletes, helping them to become the best in their respective disciplines, be that Women’s Basketball, Men’s Baseball, Soccer or Football. Josh is committed to giving back to the Davis community, helping student athletes at all levels. Since graduating UC Davis, Josh has worked as Assistant Varsity Coach for both Football and Men’s Basketball at Davis High. Josh has competed in Olympic Weightlifting both locally and nationally and has participated in the CrossFit Open. When Josh isn’t at P22, you can find him with his pup, Chico, enjoying time with friends and family.

Heather Monsoor, Coach

Coach Heather (aka Monsoor) has been an athlete most of her life. She grew up playing volleyball and basketball and always has maintained an active lifestyle. Heather got her undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to get her masters degree in counseling. Heather worked as a therapist for foster kids for several years prior to choosing to stay home with her babies. Helping people to realize their full potential is something she has always been passionate about.
Heather became a member at P22 back in 2015 when the gym was half the size it is today. Over the course of the last 7 years P22 has provided a space for Heather to continue growing as an athlete, hitting several PRs and just becoming an overall stronger woman. Becoming a mom and keeping her identity as an athlete is one of the hardest things Heather has done and continues to do daily. Exercise is something that is essential in her life, as she says it “makes her a nicer person”.
Heather is ecstatic to be back working in a helping profession and can’t wait to see all of you exceed your potential

Zoë Hunt Murry, Coach

Zoë was born and raised in Davis, running around the greenbelt and playing AYSO soccer. Her sports career started with playing varsity sports at Davis Senior High School as a Blue Devil and continued on into college as a track and field athlete in the triple jump and javelin throw. Participation in athletics led to a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, and she is currently studying for her Masters's degree in Human Performance with a Strength and Conditioning specification. Her experience in the strength and conditioning world includes training Division 1 college athletes in the weight room, programming, and training athletes for competitive powerlifting meets.  Being in the gym every day has allowed her to develop her own training style that keeps workouts challenging and addicting.

Her recent focus has been based around Olympic and Powerlifting movements with explosive supplemental and accessory movements.  In the past few years, she has also achieved her USAW certification, spinning, and a 200-hour yoga teacher certification.
